Wahl Kin & Friends...American Idol

Four years ago, after watching American Idol with a group of loyal experts (all females), I began taking notes of their opinions and writing a short synopsis of their thoughts...sort of a program to help me understand what to expect to happen the next night...elimination Wednesday. MY ADVICE: "TAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME!" That's it...pretty simple. In birth, death, illness, relationships, problems, all of life...Take one day at a time.

Name:
Location: Augusta, Georgia, United States

Vietnam Veteran 5 children and 9 grandchildren I am happy and at peace!

GOOD BYE CHRIS SLIGH...Week 3 Elimination

Elimination Wednesday, March 28, 2007...

Dial Idol finally got the bottom 2 correct...Haley Scarnato was next to the last and Chris Sligh was number hucking ten (please excuse my Vietnamese slang). However, the Vietnamese/American vocabulary during the time of my visit (1968/1969) only described the extreme range of good and bad using the numbers 1 and 10 with nothing in between.

As a female, Haley would certainly qualify in this translation as a number 1. We men are all pleased that she remained for another week in the competition...and we could care less what song she sings next week.

An Atlanta blogger described the competition between Chris and Haley best when the blogger named "kochany" posted that Chris Sligh does not have Haley's "trifecta of puppies, legs and azz"...a definite disadvantage for poor Chris and a marked advantage for Haley Scarnato. She has been using this "trifecta" to stay in this competition to gain and to give as much "exposure" as the censors will allow.

I was surprised to see Phil Stacey as third from the bottom because he sung very well this week. This should be worrisome to Phil the Reptile. I have heard radio talk shows call him an alien and other not so kind names. I think his cocky attitude is hurting him and yet he seems like a nice guy. He may be the next one gone...I know y'all want Sanjayayayayaya...but methinks he is here for awhile.

FINAL 10...WEEK #3...Tuesday, March 27, 2007

WEEK #3: Ha Wen Neyu is uneasy tonight in the great hunting ground. You ask me: "Who is Ha Wen Neyu?"

Do you know why the native American Indians (and possibly other people of Indian descent) did not cut their hair until they were "civilized" or "colonized" by christians (especially the men)?

The Indians believed that their "Creator" gave them an "official stamp" denoting them as human beings. The "Creator" gave them uniquely human hair upon their heads. Their hair, as a natural part of the gift of a healthy human body, was to grow long symbolizing their pride and most importantly, their connection to the "Creator." It was said that the longer a person's hair, the stronger their connection to the "Creator" and to their original Native Ways.

Indians could not take their "Creator" into battle with them because this may involve killing another human being and this would be an evil act and this would be against the teachings of the "Creator." No man or woman has the right to end the life of another human being. Yet times arise when battle is necessary.

For the purposes of this instructive example, I will use the Mohawk Indians (and they were members of the Iroquois Confederacy which included six tribes).

Before battle, the Mohawk warriors were famous for shaving off their hair along the sides and only leaving a strip of hair in the middle. After the battle was over, the warrior would let his hair grow back. If he failed to let his hair grow back, then the tribe knew that his mind was not clear and good and it symbolized that he had a mind of violence and twisted thinking. The "Great Spirit" of the Mowhawk's is named Ha Wen Neyu. Their "Creator" is named Shonkwaiatison.

This evening on American Idol, contestant #4, long haired Sanjaya Malakar, of Indian descent (not native American), wore his hair in a Mohawk fashioned hairdo...COWABUNGA DUDE!

I know this is a singing competition, but all season Sanjaya has been the chatter of the tabloids, blogs, television shows, etc. "Why is he still here?" "He can't sing!"

My prediction...He's safe again...and this week...No one will care...Everyone is still laughing. Personally, I can't wait until next week. Go Hula Hoop. In India, do the lower classes wipe their arses with their right hand or their left?

Other Competitors: As usual, I will ignore everything that Randy and Paula said. However, Paula appeared to be sober this evening and on her best behavior. Why?

#1 Lakisha Jones...She sung an upbeat song by Donna Summers "Last Dance" and Simon thought it was a "Great Vocal." I thought she looked great and did very well. I thought she sung better than Melinda tonight, but she won't be the top vote getter because Melinda wins it every week.

#2 Chris Sligh...He sung the song "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic." No magic tonight for Chris. As I have been saying for the past several weeks. He is not improving and looking fatter and fatter. His make up is starting to make him appear ghost like to me and almost feminine. I really liked him in the beginning and now I can't wait for him to be gone. I hope it is tomorrow, but one of the girls was really bad also. He is a really nice guy, but just doesn't do well any longer. Simon said that it was "a mess all over the place and it didn't feel right." I think he was being kind.

#3 Gina Glocksen from Naperville, Illinois where my sister lives... You can't help but like Gina. Simon said: "Not just one of your best performances tonight...YOUR BEST PERFORMANCE" Simon really likes Gina, but realistically she doesn't have a chance against the Fab 3. However, she is safe and hopefully will be around for a few more weeks.

#4 Sanjaya Malakar...Mohawk hairdo...Great look...Should be very safe.

#5 Haley Scarnato...I think the dress was not sexy enough. She has no chance unless she takes off her clothes. That simple. Miss USA was crowned this past weekend and I really thought that Haley would come out in a bathing suit singing a beach song. She didn't. She is in big trouble. She has surprised me before. I think she is in the bottom two with Chris Sligh...Simon said: "Sweet but forgetable, nothing to remember...too safe. Have to do better than that." (Translation..."I liked the black dress, your legs looked good, but you covered your other assets too much.")

#6 Phil Stacey...He sung "Every Breath You Take" by the Police and he did very well and Simon told him "Very Good" and Simon appeared to be very pleased with Phil's performance and his competitive attitude this evening and he told him so.

#7 Melinda Doolittle...Simon told her that she was "Vocally outstanding" but he "hated her outfit."...Some of you may have noticed the curl in her hair that helped show a bit more of her neck. Girlfriend says that was an improvement, but they need to do more. As usual, she did very well and should be top vote getter on Dial Idol.

#8 Blake Lewis...He sung a very slow song and sung it well. It was boring to us and Simon agreed and told Blake it was a "bit boring", but Simon also told Blake that he was the best guy in the competition. Paula drooled...What's new? The guy had pants on.

#9 Jordin Sparks...She sung an upbeat song. Her outfit looked a bit large on her because she is a big girl. Standing next to Ryan she is a GIANT. She is refreshing and happy and she can really sing. Simon said she is the "most improved." However, I must caution that the final shot of her next to Ryan was not a pleasant photo. She looked like a large gray elephant next to Ryan and her dancing while she was singing was pressured and not good. She should not be choosing dance numbers if she can't dance.

#10 Chris Richardson...He sung "Don't Speak" and Simon thought that his vocals were not good at all and told Chris to work on his vocals. Paula drooled and disagreed...Again, he had pants on.

Dial Idol results at midnight show Chris Sligh in last place and Jordin and Haley down at the bottom just mere tenths of a point away from him. Chris Richardson is in second place ahead of Lakisha and you may be pleased to hear that Sanjaya is in 4th place just barely ahead of Gina; however the bottom 3 are solidly there right now with several hours to go. Dial Idol does not include text messages and Dial Idol has not been very accurate this year. However, Sanjaya eats Dial Idol for breakfast and lunch and spits them out before dinner. Keep in mind, Michael Jackson may still be hiding in his body (smile).

Good Bye Stephanie Edwards...Week 2 Elimination

WEEK 2 ELIMINATION...Wednesday March 21, 2007:

Who knew? We lost a singer this week in a singing competition.

The first runner up (Chris Richardson) had his best week of the season and was nearly voted off. The worst of the worst, Sanjaya, with a little help from Idol Producers...Did you hear? They auditioned for the "little girl" and put her in the front and she was on every camera angle (all scripted)...The crying could have been real tears. This guaranteed Sanjaya extra teeny bopper votes and kept him on for another week.

A miracle...Phil and Gina were spared? Dial Idol had Phil Stacey as the #2 vote getter and Sanjaya at #5. However, Gina and Haley were #10 and #11 respectively.

You may want to scroll down and review my Sanjaya Malakar post again (Sanjaya Malakar Theory: March 14, 2007). Has anyone spotted Michael Jackson lately?

I have a theory on tonight's elimination. Sick as usual, but possibly viable. In Vermont, this discussion may not be applicable as race does not play a roll in your day to day lives. However, Senator Leahy must be an expert on race relations because he constantly is offering advise to those of us in the South.

Stephanie Edwards, who was eliminated this evening is from Savannah, Georgia, a historic southern city. Savannah was one of the only major Georgia cities spared from destruction by General Sherman's march to the sea during the Civil War and the City of Savannah was presented to President Lincoln as a gift and the Civil War ended pretty soon thereafter.

However, generations of Georgians have never forgiven the North for what Sherman did to our homes, livestock, food storage and countryside from Atlanta all the way to Savannah. Even more northern atrocities came upon the South after the Civil War during Reconstruction. Southern crackers eventually gained power and used their power to bully the black race and pass unconscienable laws to restrict them in all walks of life. Over time people have mistakenly begun to believe that the Civil War was fought primarily over slavery, which is false and this sub human treatment of the blacks by the southern rednecks and power hungry supremisists has led to extreme racial tension all over the south...The Confederate Flag is a heritage issue but southern crackers fly it and they hate Jews, black folks, and anyone who doesn't have black teeth, pick their noses and chew tobacco like them, but the NAACP has decided that red necks are a powerful force and has taken a stand against the Confederate Flag.

My question for the northerners (Not Vermont, because you have no black people)...What's your excuse for being racist? I grew up in Stamford, CT and my mom invited a black boy, Ellis Crawford, to my third grade birthday party in Shippan Point in 1955 and she got calls from the neighbors!!!...ooops, that's another topic.

I tell you all of this because Stephanie Edwards was eliminated tonight for several reasons and I think the color of her skin was one of the main reasons.

1. The first of which is because she did not get enough votes. American Idol is a huge ratings success in the State of Georgia. Diana DeGarmo from Snellville, GA made it to the final two...She was white! She lost to Fantasia, from Greenville...a black girl, not from Georgia. NOT ENOUGH VOTES. She has been the low vote getter for many weeks now including the weeks before she got to the final 12.

Augusta and Savannah are very similar cities, but Savannah is more progessive and does have a sea port. James Brown was from Augusta but he could not get 1,000 people to attend any show that he put on here because blacks always attend his shows and whites will not attend much in Augusta if there will be a large black attendence.

We have 5 black commissioners and 5 white commissioners and a white mayor...they vote 5-5 and the mayor can not break a tie vote. There are 5 black districts and 5 white districts. There is very little compromising. Most of the black and white citizens that can afford to have moved to neighboring counties outside of Augusta.

2. Stephanie Edwards was one of my Fab 4. I think she was #4 and the votes got diluted and she was the short end of the stick, but I still don't see how she finished behind Gina, Sanjaya or Phil.

3. Stephanie Edwards was black and proud of it. She sung black songs and soul music. I think the audience has been disappointed with Fantasia because she doesn't sing songs that they enjoy buying and playing. Stephanie never really sung any songs that voters could identify with. She had a great voice, but continued to choose terrible songs. In Georgia, we are still shell shocked over Cynthia McKinney and we judge our public black women carefully. Atlanta is an urban city and does not care who they elect...Black is beautiful whether she is competent or not. Cynthia McKinney is in the dictionary: "racist"

If Stephanie were like Melinda, Jordin, or Lakeesha, she could get our votes, but with her short hair we are reminded of black activists and remember Angela Davis...No Way...If she thinks she wants to be Beyonce...then try to look like her...

Next week we must endure Sanjaya again...I won't listen...If Idol doesn't get rid of him soon, no one else will be listening either.

FINAL 11...Week #2...Tuesday...March 20, 2007

WEEK #2: Lulu from England is the helper for the women and who cares who is helping the men? The men with few exceptions, did very well this evening so their helper did O.K.

The theme had something to do with songs recorded by British recording artists from the 1960's....my era.

I have a fond remembrance of Lulu:

In America in the 1960's, when a man finished high school, if he didn't go to college, he got drafted into the Army. (Women were exempt). He did not pass GO, he did not collect $200...Puff...right into the Army. Once he graduated college, PUFF...then he got drafted right into the Army. Hence, graduate school was a very popular preference after college. The strategy was to stay in school as long as possible. As long as you were in school, you were not in the Army. Of course, if you had connections or got lucky, you could get into a military reserve unit and not have to continue in school. George Bush and John Kerry got into reserve units. Kerry got called to active duty out of the reserves.

By the way, there was a very unpopular war going on in the 1960's, at it's peak in the late 1960's, called the Vietnam War.

I quit college in 1966 and was drafted soon thereafter and after basic training ended up in Ft. Lee, Virginia (Petersburg, Va) and on my first night out since I had gone in the Army (over 3 months) I went to a movie. The movie I went to see was called "To Sir With Love" with Sidney Poitier, but the highlight of the movie was the title song at the end sung by a young British girl name Lulu.

Less than a year later, I was in Pleiku, South Vietnam and John Kerry was whining and complaining in Cam Rahn Bay and Vung Tau...two Rest and Recreation (R&R) areas for the troops. I spent a week in Vung Tau and wore civilian clothes for the entire week. I received my honorable discharge in June of 1970. Kerry received his thirty years later from President Clinton.

____________________________________________________________________________________

#1...Haley Scarnato...She looked sexy and sung her best by far in the competition, but as usual Simon summed it up best "You naughty little thing." He closed by reminding everyone that people would remember her tonight for "more than your singing." Haley looked like she was auditioning for a Playboy photo layout.
She'll get it. She should be safe.

#2...Chris Richardson...He also sung very well and Simon told him that this was "his best performance so far."

#3...Stephanie Edwards...Simon was "not crazy about it" but clearly she has the talent. She is only 19 years old, but the song was too boring for her and she does not seem to be having the fun she should be having. As usual Dial Idol has her dead last at 12:30 A.M. and she may finish last according to their busy signals, but there were clearly three other terrible singers tonight.

#4...Blake Lewis...I thought he was the best of the men this evening and at the time that he sung Simon agreed "strongest performance so far." None of the men did any better than him. I like him and I love his personality and style. He can't compete with the girls, but if he sticks around awhile, he can get a career out of this.

#5...Lakeesha Jones...She sung "Diamonds are Forever" from the James Bond film and they put $1,000,000 worth of diamonds on her. She did well, but she keeps singing the same type of tunes. Hopefully, she can sing something else and show some versatility. Dial Idol has her in 4th place tonight at this time, but there are 6 hours to go. She's safe.

#6. Phil Stacey...He sung "Tobacco Road" and I hated it, but I really am scared by his look and reptile like appearance. Only Sanjaya keeps him safe. Dial Idol has him in third place as of 12:30 A.M. which is sick...I say he is bottom 3 for sure.

#7...Jordin Sparks...Awesome and almost perfect. Great smile and great voice with a wonderful personality to go with it.

#8...Sanjaya...Bad, What did I expect? There was a young girl in the audience who was crying. Everyone suspected that she was crying because of Sanjaya. I think she was crying because her ears hurt. The camera was on her all during his singing performance. Simon delivered the line of the night concerning Sanjaya's results: "The little girls face says it all." Amen!
As the evening wore on, the little girl was shown after almost every other singer and she was crying for each of them too. On second thought, she may have been crying because her ears were still hurting because of Sanjaya late into the program. Bad news for Sanjaya. He needs to go and hopefully tonight will be his last night. Helping him along will be Randy and Paula's praises of his effort this evening. No one ever agrees with those two baffoons. (By the way, did you see Sanjaya's sister in the audience?...I think she got a boob job since the auditions)

#9...Gina Glocksen...She sung "Paint it Black" and her singing was awful. Her look was good and her attitude was good, but this is still a singing competition and Simon reminded her of it. I think she will crack the bottom 3 Wednesday evening, but clearly Sanjaya or Phil should be leaving and not Gina, but Gina was pretty bad and could be bottom 2.

#10...Chris Sligh...He sung O.K. and showed a bit of personality. He is still in the bottom 5 of those who are left after Sanjaya, Phil, or Gina are eliminated tomorrow. In other words, he will be leaving us soon. His songs don't change and his voice is not showing any improvement. Blake and Chris have definitely stepped it up and the Fab 4 are still the Fab 4. Haley has attributes that Chris cannot match. After Sanjaya, Phil and Gina are gone...Beware!

#11...Melinda Doolittle...As usual, the nice girl knocked it out of the park again. My main worry for Melinda is that she has no neck. This is very troubling to me.
My girlfriend (retired beauty college owner) says that Melinda needs to have her hair cut shorter.

This will make her look like she has a neck? Something needs to be done...We cannot have an American Idol with no neck...it is unamerican! I got an email from the Giraffe at the Columbia, S.C. Zoo and she was upset also.

Bottom three...Gina Glocksen (rocker), Phil Stacey (reptile), Sanjaya Malakar (not a singer)....Gone...Sanjaya!

SANJAYA MALAKAR THEORY

SANJAYA MALAKAR THEORY:

I can almost guarantee that Sanjaya Malakar will not be eliminated this evening, March 14, 2007. Dial Idol tell us so, but Dial Idol has been losing its credibility lately with only a 75% accuracy rate. I think the text messages are hurting it.

I really cannot reasonably justify the explanation, but that has not stopped me in the past.

We all agree that Sanjaya is the worst singer imaginable and he makes no effort to better himself. The judges offer advice, but Sanjaya ignores their every recommendation.

In fact, he sings the same songs with the same monotonous tone and shows no concern when the judges crucify him each week. We, at home, are throwing everything and anything we can get our hands on at the television screen...beer bottles, plants, books, drinking glasses, fish tanks, fish, ugh, dirty diapers, children...SHUT HIM UP!!!

My theory is that the Idol Producers have inserted Sanjaya as a prop to confound the audience and viewers. A great move. Remember William Hung? He wasn't under contract and Idol lost millions. Perhaps they decided that they could make some big bucks on a really bad singer as long as he remained in the competition?

I know this is far fetched. I think that Sanjaya may be a really terrific singer disguised as a terrible singer. The back story was that his older sister and him were competing together. Very sweet. She did not make it. They both cried. He is wearing the wedding ring of his "white" grandfather (who is dead) and who was a World War II Veteran. All of America has been suckered. The joke will be on us.

We all know that no one in their right mind is voting for this freak. The hair. The earrings. Idol Producers are placing him in the top 3 week after week (they control the votes anyway) and laughing their fannies off.

My Theory: One night the wig will come off and Michael Jackson will moon walk across the stage singing "Beat It" while fondling himself.

Think about it...Diana Ross is here tonight. Will Michael be far behind?

This is just my personal theory. I know it may be a bit sick, but so am I. However, if Sanjaya does not go home this evening, I just wanted to give you a more plausible explanation than what you may be thinking before you throw that beer bottle at the television screen.

Maybe next week we can say Good Bye to Sanjaya (Michael in disguise)!

FINAL 12...WEEK #1...Tuesday...MARCH 13, 2007

FINAL 12...WEEK #1...OPENING NIGHT:

American Idol started the competition this evening with the men...Ho Hum...Take your break early. Go get another beer. This is a waste of time. The good news is that Idol has given us an early warning as to how our evening is going to go. Odd numbers are the men. No need to watch. I realize there are teeny boppers out there and let us not forget the women, who have been spoiled by past years competitions, and are hoping for some guy for whom to root. As they state in the Tuna commercials..."Sorry Charlie, not good enough for Starkist."

Because I write this blog, I was not able to cut and run (a viable Idol men's strategy), and was forced to stay and have my ears decimated by the Idol men's voices and the incorrect politics of the American Idol Administration. As a point of fact, if I were an Idol man in today's competition, I would be looking for a woman's garb to wear to hide my identity...THE MEN CANNOT SING AND THIS IS A SINGING COMPETITON!!!

Contestants #1, #3, #5, #7 #9 #11 were all men...At first blush I would say this was odd.

#1...Brandon Rogers (Really Bad) #3...Chris Sligh (The personality we saw in the auditions has disappeared. He sung O.K., but tonight the producers convinced him to take off his glasses. What will they do next? Cut his hair! Chris has sold out to the "man." He got here with his wit and personality and without it he is gone just like the rest of the men. #5...Sanjaya (Really terrible, but watch out for Sanjaya...the guy seems to get the teeny boppers vote and hangs around when the entire world knows he needs to be gone) #7...Phil Stacey (He did well for a bad singer, but he is still not good and his eyes still bug out and scare the little children. His bald head is not too sexy either. I like Phil, but I think he may show up on Perverted Justice one day...he looks like a reptile).
#9...Blake Lewis (He rearranged a Motown song and beat boxed it his way. He is really likeable, but is still a guy who they tell us can sing, but really now, can he?) #11...Chris Richards (Justin Timberlake wantabe that seems like a really nice guy who can't sing, and has a pleasant personality. Paula and Randy can't applaud him enough...typical for these two fools. Simon nailed it on the head..."Dreaduful"...

In fact, Simon summed up the men this year with that one word...DREADFUL!!!

My prediction is that the back-up singer Brandon Rogers may be gone, but the voters never throw him out and he qualifies almost every week. I think America is getting sick of giving Chris Sligh so many chances so don't be surprised to see the "sell out" in the bottom three and possibly out. His performances have all been lousy for quite some time. I know I am sick of him and the women have been so spectacular why waste any time dialing his overrated number?

You readers will insist that Sanjaya Malakar is Bye Bye Birdie, but Sanjaya has fooled you before. This is why I take the time to write this blog. His hair this evening was interesting! In previous voting on Dial Idol he was always in the top 3 or 4 and I suspect he will be the top vote getter again this evening for the men. There is some sick reason that people keep voting for him. Hawaii loves people that praise the Islands and their voting block may be the most powerful that votes.

I just don't see any of the girls leaving when they are competing with these oddballs. However, the competition for votes among themselves may cause one of them to end up in the bottom 3...I call it American Idol Producer Math!!!

GIRLS: 2-4-6-8 who do we appreciate...THE GIRLS! THE GIRLS! THE GIRLS!

I am not going to waste your time with comments by Paula or Randy. Paula may have been higher or drunker tonight. She cried a bit more than I remember. However, she is generally a show in herself. Randy appeared to be fatter and uglier than usual this evening. Simon was the same.

The real competition began this evening with #2 Melinda Doolittle...WOW.

#4...Gina Glocksen...She is one of the two "White Chicks" left in the game and she did O.K. Simon loves attractive women and would never say anything bad about Gina.

#6...Haley Scarnato...She barely made it into the final 12 and was treated the rudest and most unkind by the judges coming into the final 12. She is the final "White Chick" in the competition and was so much sexier and prettier than Antonella Barba that she was voted into the final 12 in an upset over Antonella last week. She made a good song choice and although she did not sing as well as she would have liked, Simon liked her stage presence (translation...she was sexy and good looking) so he praised her for the first time ever...This guarantees that she will be more confident next week (and there will be a next week because the guys are so bad).

#8...Lakisha Jones...She is always very good. Melinda Doolittle is still the favorite, but watch out for Lakisha...she is lurking and she has a spectacular voice and a very likeable personality and a great story. However, even if she doesn't win, she will finish in the top 2/3 and get a great recording contract...SHE WINS EITHER WAY!!! We will be happy for her.

#10...Stephanie Edwards...This 19 year old from Savannah continues to pick the wrong songs. In the past weeks, Dial Idol said she was always the last place vote getter or the second to last place vote getter for the women (75% accurate and in her case they were wrong each week). Tonight she did the same thing...CHOSE ANOTHER BAD SONG!!! This time she is singing in the Final 12. Granted, she is singing against some really lousy oddball men so she should be safe, but week after week after week after week, she chooses terrible songs. I don't care how good her voice is...America ain't gonna vote for her...PERIOD! Up until now, there were some girls that got less votes or Idol producers kept her in...who knows?

I like this girl and she is from Georgia...I don't like her as much as Lakisha, Melinda, or Jordin...but I like her. Based on Dial Idol preliminary results this evening (preliminary results only...not final) she is in last place for the women and bottom three with several hours of calculations to go.

#12...Jordin Sparks...This young lady did very well this evening and Dial Idol prelimary voting has her behind only Melinda, Lakisha and...Drum Roll please...Sanjaya...in 4th place as of midnight...

The end!

ELIMINATION THURSDAY March 8, 2007

ROAD TO THE FINAL 12:

I gave you my opinions of the GUYS (Who cares?) and the GALS (all wrong)...

GUYS:

Eliminated tonight for the guys were Jared Cotter and Sundance Head. Dial Idol told us that Phil Stacey finished dead last according to the busy signals, but Sundance finished poorly right next to him and Jared Cotter was as close to Sundance as he could get. They went home and the other six moved on to the final 12.

Phil was spared and Sundance and Jared got the axe. The top 4 vote getters were Chris Richardson, Chris Sligh, Blake Lewis and Sanjaya Malakar. In fact, Sanjaya has been one of the top vote getters each week. Don't count the boy out no matter how bad his song choices are. However, WHO CARES?

GIRLS:

I have been raving about the "FAB 5" and Paula's "Valley Girl," Sabrina Sloan (a member of my Fab 5), was sent home packing tonight. They insist that this is a singing competition and Sabrina was a fantatic singer. There goes the singing competition theory. She has been a low vote getter each week according to Dial Idol statistics. She finished fifth out of eight this week. Stephanie Edwards, another "Fab 5" finished last in Dial Idol stats this week and was second to the last the previous week, but she was sent thru to the final 12. She is also a great singer, but her song choices of soul songs is hurting her votes. Thankfully, she will not be choosing her tunes now that she is in the Final 12. This may help her with the voters in the future.

Antonella the stripper was also sent home. Another blow to my theory that one "White Chick" with the most publicity would make it over a sexier "White Chick" with no publicity (Haley Scarnato)...Wrong again. Haley made it and Antonella "Jersey Girl" was sent home. I had left myself a slight out with "White Chick" Gina Glocksen (Simon liked her and did not like Antonella Barba)...Gina was the third highest vote getter and made it into the final 12.

Consequently, we have our final 12...One of the "FAB 4" should win this thing and the favorites at this time are Melinda Doolittle and Lakisha Jones.

Rosie O'Donnell says that American Idol is both racist and prejudice against fat people. Clay Aiken is gay. I don't know how she missed that one. Rosie O'Donnell is a pig...Oink! Oink!

WEDNESDAY 3/7/2007 GALS Week #3

WEEK #3 GALS:

You learned from last weeks post that I strongly believe that the "FAB 5" are making it to the finals plus one "White Chick"... Since I am quite confident that the "White Chick" is ordained to be the Jersey Gal, poster child Antonella Barba, there was almost no need to watch this evenings performances before beginning to write this blog.

Consequently, I will tell you who the botton two will be BEFORE the girls sing one note. Haley Scarnato or Gina Glocksen. Both girls are "White Chicks" but neither one has barely naked photo's of herself on the net. One of them goes tomorrow unless they are voting off two. In that case, they will both go. It doesn't matter how well the "White Chicks" sing this evening. The "FAB 5" are just too good and Antonella has that calendar out there. Haley Scarnato is much sexier, but she just doesn't have the calendar out yet.

____________________________________________________________________________________

#1 Jordin Sparks...Fab 5 safe...Enthusiastic, but still young and it showed. Not as good a performance as usual, but still better than any of the men.

#2 Sabrina Sloan...Fab 5 safe...Great voice, but not showing any personality with her song choices. Needs to "Wow" the audience like Lakisha and Melinda do.

#3 Antonella Barba...Best she has done, but still no where near as good as it needs to be to win this thing. Calendar photo's should get her to the final six gals and to the final 12. Simon acted like he really did not like her this evening.

#4 Haley Scarnato...Really attractive and sexy looking babe, but definitely the worst singer left of the girls. She should be voted off tonight. I see no hope for her. In the Dial Idol voting last week, she finished 7th which was 4 ahead of Gina Glocksen, who finished last. However, Alaina Alexander and Leslie Hunt were voted off and they finished 5th and 8th out of 10. Possibly, Haley is getting some male votes just like Antonella. Gina could be voted off.

#5 Stephanie Edwards...Fab 5 safe...Great voice but she dared to sing a song by a famous black female artist and Randy Jackson just doesn't permit this from anyone but Lakisha Jones and Melinda Doolittle. However, please remember that Randy Jackson is of no consequence and you can ignore anything he says. Simon says and Simon rules.
I am from Georgia and love Stephanie and have to agree with racist Randy. Stephanie needs to begin singing something other than this type of music. The Idol audience will not vote for her if these are the only songs she sings. Randy doesn't seem to like them and he is black! By the way, Fantasia is old news.

#6 Lakisha Jones...Fab 5 safe...Fabulous as usual. She looked good and sung great. Her obese, twin, redneck aunts need to sit somewhere else. They are not helping her.

#7 Gina Glocksen...I don't think she will receive the least votes tonight, but she is a really likeable "White Chick" and still has no hope. She may make it to next week and could possibly upset Antonella Barba and make it to the final 12 because she is so likeable and Simon Cowell really likes her.

#8 Melinda Doolittle...Fab 5 safe...Another fantastic night and she even showed some personality with her song selection. Surprised everyone. She is still the leader in the clubhouse. She is as good a singer as anyone in the competition. She is a professional!!!

Summary: Now that I have watched the show, I think that Haley Scarnato should go and she may. If not Haley, the voters may send home Gina Glocksen or Antonella Barba. The "Fab 5" should be safe.

I am posting this within 25 minutes of the shows end...before Dial Idol even burps!

TUESDAY 3/6/2007 GUYS WEEK #3

WEEK #3 GUYS:

Last week A.J. Tabaldo and Nick Pedro got voted off. I had put them in the bottom three with Brandon Rogers. I actually thought that Brandon would be gone last week, but he may have sung well enough tonight that he may have made it another week. WHO CARES?

I got up this morning to the giggly sounds of my eight month old granddaughter, Tristin. Every few days, I get the opportunity to feed her breakfast because her Mom is busy getting the 8 year old, Dasia, and herself ready for school and work respectively. Today was one of those days. I also get to take Tristin to Day Care each morning and to stick around and play with all the little ones for thirty minutes to an hour. Great fun in my old age. The kids in day care whine better than the guys sing this year on American Idol.

Dasia had a soccer game tonight that her team won 2-1.

The weather is really beginning to warm up here in Georgia. It may reach 77 degrees Wednesday. Must I talk about the men?

I know the women readers out there are expecting some type of report on the men singers on American Idol. GEEZ LOUISE...WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO SAY? THE MEN SUCK!!!

How about this for a comment? Randy and Paula are insignificant...Only Simon matters. Randy, Paula, and Ryan are still needed for the entertainment value. However, whatever Randy and Paula say really does not mean a thing. All of us already know this.

Dial Idol says that #4 Chris Richardson had the most busy signals but only by one one hundredth of a point over #8 Chris Sligh. #1 Blake Lewis finished a close third. Our friend #2, Sanjaya Malakar finished less than a percent away in fourth place...AGAIN. The last four spots, according to Dial Idol, were taken by #6 Brandon Rogers at number five, #5 Jared Cotter at number six, #3 Sundance Head at number seven and bringing up the rear #7 bald headed Phil Stacey number eight. Dial Idol busy signals measure has not been correct this year, but is about 75% accurate. Our ears are more accurate than Dial Idol busy signal register.

So many men were so bad, I don't have much confidence in picking the bottom two this week. Sanjaya keeps "Staying Alive" week after week and Dial Idol has been very accurate on him. Certainly safe should be Chris Richardson, Chris Sligh, and Blake Lewis (#1, 2, 3 on Dial Idol...and #4 is Sanjaya, but he is not so safe).

At extreme risk should be Brandon Rogers and Jared Cotter and if the results are truly based on last evenings performance then bald headed Phil Stacey is really in big trouble. I have no idea what people see in Sundance Head. Dial Idol says he did not do well with the voters last night, but Dial Idol has a plus or minus 25%...He may be safe because there are others much more terrible than he was.

THE GIRLS PERFORM WEDNESDAY. I WILL BE EXCITED TO SEE HOW THE "FAB 5" DO ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

AS FAR AS THE GUYS...DO YOU REALLY CARE?
