Wahl Kin & Friends...American Idol

Four years ago, after watching American Idol with a group of loyal experts (all females), I began taking notes of their opinions and writing a short synopsis of their thoughts...sort of a program to help me understand what to expect to happen the next night...elimination Wednesday. MY ADVICE: "TAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME!" That's it...pretty simple. In birth, death, illness, relationships, problems, all of life...Take one day at a time.

American Idol Week #11

We come to the end of our 2006 year...Taylor Hicks vs. Katharine McPhee.

The photo to the left is my first grandchild, Dasia, age 7, who has lived with me almost her entire life...as has her mama, Ashleigh. I know you are sick of seeing my photo...so I thought you would enjoy seeing a young Republican, who didn't want to go to school in Pre-K (age 4) when it was her turn to be the Vice President for a day and the President declared he was going to be a Democrat...(GOOD GIRL!!!) I told her not to worry...This was only pretend and would not happen in her lifetime...(a Democrat being President!)(smile Jamie...the day is young).

Back to American Idol...Before I begin...let me say that this competition was won by Taylor Hicks the night that Chris Daughtry was voted off (if that really occured...methinks that Idol "fixed" it so that Chris was eliminated)...Taylor has been the consistent top vote getter for almost every week since the votes have been tabulated, except the few weeks that Chris Daughtry got the most votes.
____________________________________________________________________

Katharine started us off this evening with ("Black Horse & the Cherry Tree"). Randy said: "You finally look like you're having a little bit of fun, jiving with the guys and doing your thing. It wasn't that super exciting to me, but I think you sang it better than the first time."

Paula said: "A fun way to start why you're here tonight. But I know there's more of you and better of you."

Simon said: "Kat. I'll give a good with a small 'g' because I think the occasion tonight is bigger than that song. That's what I call a warmup."

Taylor sung ("Living for the City"). Randy said: "You know what I love about you dude. Stevie's the hardest thing to do. You don't care where it's from. You always make it your own. America, that's a hot one right there!"

Simon said: "This audience hated you (laughing)" "It was a great way to start the show. A smart choice of song. The worst jacket I've ever seen, but what do I know?"

First round won by Taylor.

___________________________________________________________________

Second song by Katharine was ("Somewhere over the Rainbow") and she scored a WOW!

Taylor sung ("Levon") and it was just O.K....Second round won by Katharine.

Simon comments that the competition is tied going into the final round...I don't think so...Taylor has this thing won, but we'll play along and wait for the final song.

The final song is written for each contestant and will be released on a CD after the winner is announced. This year each contestant gets to sing a different song especially written for each one of them.

My opinion and also the opinion of the gals that I watched with....Katharine's dress was way too tight..My opinion and I feel certain only my opinion, Katharine didn't show enough skin. Who cares about the darn songs?
___________________________________________________________________

I will now pick out a few comments from a current blog in Atlanta which best summarizes the songs and the results that these performances will have on the final results:

The Atlanta blog has been heavily in favor of Chris Daughtry and the second favorite was the E-Train and then possibly Katharine and finally Taylor.

Folks in Atlanta are similar to you lost souls in Vermont, and except for my Georgia family, like my siblings and all other relatives...primarily liberal (ouch!).

I can't tell their ethnicity on the blog, but I would suspect an even mix of black and white (and you folks in Vermont have no blacks and may have no interaction with African Americans at all, except for Senatory Leahy, who seems to be an expert on the subject)...so even though people from Atlanta are "in" the South, they have little allegience to their neighbor, Taylor Hicks, and because they are primarily liberal, they loved the rocker. (my redneck opinion, of course).

However, they did have a vocal group in the chat room in favor of Taylor...so even though they were largely outnumbered, they did have a voice in the discussion...and quite possibly, will be correct in their choice of Taylor....even though Idol Producers may have cheated (forced Chris out) in order for them to be assured the victory.

Final song blogger reports:

By Mike S: "Kat - My Destiny - AUGH!!!! My ears. This was so off key, pitchy, and sappy. It was beyond pitiful. To reuse a comment from earlier this season -- I would say this sucked Canal Water, but that would be an insult to Canals. I haven't even heard a Taylor song yet, and I can unequivacably say this--Katharine just LOST with this trainwreck."

By Mike S: "Plus people are using the NEW song as a yardstick for what the person will sound like on their album, and she just gave people a reason to AVOID her CD like the plague."

___________________________________________________________________

By Kathie: "Taylor has been my favorite from the beginning, but with graduation only one week away and my son leaving for the Naval Academy in 3 weeks--something about that song touched my heart. It was a heart felt rendition-and that is what makes and American Idol-someone who touches your heart with their song. Taylor is great. So if there is anyone with the lyrics-please send them out so I can copy them. Thanks."

By Michelle: "Taylor's last song actually brought tears to my eyes and gave me tingles. THAT is what makes an American Idol! I text voted for Taylor 6 times tonight."

___________________________________________________________________

www.dialidol.com had Taylor ahead by a pretty wide margin and pulling ahead further after 11:30 P.M. when I last checked it, but www.dialidol.com does not have text messaging included. You can count on Idol Producers to tell us Wednesday evening how close the voting was...but I just can't see them releasing Katharine's CD as the American Idol winner...If they are going to "fix" anything, it will not be "fixing" her vote to cheat Taylor Hicks out of his victory...their only "fix" will be to "fix" their story as to how close the final voting was...when it really wasn't close at all.

Taylor Hicks should win this thing by more millions than G.W. Bush spanked that gold digging traitor John Kerry....regardless of what crap Idol tries to tell us.

Good-Bye Elliott Yamin...Week #10

If you believe that each contestant got approximately 33% of the vote last night...which means they got 16,500,000 votes a piece and Taylor got a bit more than Katharine and she got a few more than Elliott...then you can believe that the picture on the left is "me" today and not "me" way back in 1979, four months before I married the "wicked witch"...when I was a recently divorced father of two.

I feel that Taylor was the leading vote getter by millions and Katharine may have defeated Elliott by at least one million votes.

Why must they lie?

Do they really think we are all as stupid as our government thinks we are?

American Idol Week #10

I am attempting to write and publish this before the voting is over for this evening's Idol games. I see this as a slam dunk for Taylor with a pretty close call between the guy and the gal with Katharine squeaking in for second place...having very little to do with her performance tonight, but everything to do with her pretty looks and Playboyese display of her legs and boobs...skin wins!

Elliott Yamin didn't have a chance...

I will briefly comment on the "conspiricy theory" of Chris Daughtry's myterious disappearance from tonights performances...Idol producers say he didn't get enough votes as did www.dialidol.com, but so many reputable people called and wrote with complaints about their phones being answered by Katharine, thanking them for their vote...when they were calling for Chris Daughtry...or that their phone calls were answered and the recording said "sorry we are unable to tabulate your vote at this time" that I truly believe that American Idol "fixed" last weeks vote tally and saw to it that Chris Daughtry was voted off.

Why did this occur? Who knows? Chris Daughtry had posted something the week before on his web site about having a contract and not needing to win American Idol...The end!

You may have noticed that Randy Jackson has been unusually critical of Katharine McPhee the past several weeks. Jamie, my niece in Vermont, knows I am a bit conservative...I am a Vietnam Veteran. I live in Georgia. Consequently, she perceives (possibly rightfully so) that I am a redneck.

Here is my theory on Randy Jackson and his obvious dislike for Katharine McPhee...

Katharine is lilly white. Katharine is single. Katharine has no children and is not on welfare. Therefore, Randy cannot identify with her.
So, Randy, who is obviously a racist...hates her...

Afterall, since I am white and live in the south, I must also be a racist...That's the perception of those in "Vermont" isn't it?

Consequently, no matter what Katharine does or how she sings...she is terrible in Randy's eyes and ears...He cannot help himself...She will never make it to his dog pound...Woof...Woof!

___________________________________________________________________

Katharine sung her first song very well tonight (oversung it as always and missed some lyrics, but she always does)...but Randy hated it...and Randy hates her...My belief is that the public will disagree with Randy and Katharine will be in the finals...not by many votes...but Katharine will be there...Randy will be barking at the moon and pissing on the fire hydrant with Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton...fellow racists who bask in the anti-white wealth while their fellow African Americans wallow in the depths of poverty, unemployment and government welfare.
____________________________________________________________________

#1...Elliott Yamin sung 3 songs tonight. As usual, he sung them well, but tonight he didn't WOW! anyone. The time for pity is over. You are deaf in one ear and you have asthma...boo hoo. We all have problems. God didn't promise us an easy street. To be fair, you haven't asked for our sympathy...You aren't getting it tonight.

I think the E-Train is derailed. Simon summarized my feelings exactly "Your songs are not going to carry through next week." "However, you're a great guy. You're a great singer. You will make your mom very proud in what you've achieved in this competition."

The end!

#2...Katharine McPhee...All the talk will be about Simon's pick for her to sing: "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" which Katharine nailed. Simon said: "That was the single best performance in the competition to date." Randy said: "Best vocal of the season so far." (and Randy is a racist and hates the girl) (smile folks). Paula said (blah...blah..blah...blah)...

Her final choice...and the reason that she most likely won't win American Idol...was a yukky choice and tells us that after 10 weeks and auditions...Katharine still doesn't have a clue!!!

However...she took some clothes off tonight...so she is learning...Turn the sound off...She is sexy...she can still make a living...(I know...sexist comment...Jamie...your mother will lecture about her brother and his "teasing").

#3...Taylor Hicks...Taylor has "IT"...charm and charisma...He is not the best singer and has not been the best singer in this competition. However, he is at home on stage and he is at home entertaining. His personal song choice was so much better than the other two. As usual, he is the leading vote getter by millions of votes. He wins this competition tonight and should become the American Idol next week.

Again....not the best singer...The American Idol!

I've set up my next blog "Life's Lessons" and my first post is: "Victory or Death"...Those of you on the Canadian border may appreciate the courage, heroism and sacrifice of the people in this post...

Good-Bye Chris Daughtry...Week #9

Good-Bye Chris Daughtry...I can't believe I just wrote those words, but with the www.DialIdol.com totals indicating his standing at the bottom of the barrel...I just knew those slime ball producers were going to use their powers to override the system and Katharine was gone.

Possibly, Martha Burk, from "NOW" (National Organization for Women)...or some other nonsense group like "DLMLWS" helped push her over the top? In any case, Chris, is gone and "DLMLWS" is a happier group today than they were after last night's performance by Kat.

Hopefully, "DLMLWS" can continue to muster the votes to keep her in the competition. Taylor, the consistent top vote getter and Elliott were several million votes ahead of Kat and Chris based on the busy signal theory espoused by www.DialIdol.com.

I did not want a "rocker" to win because "rock" is a tooth ornament in my memory and that time in my life was not a pleasant memory in my psyche. The bus ride I took to Estill, SC with "Rock" and then on to Atlanta, GA was one of the least favorite days and bus rides of my life. Consequently, I don't listen to "rock", throw "rocks", or eat "rock" candy.

We don't need to be worrying about Chris Daughtry. His success on American Idol will translate into a phenomenal singing career. Congratulations!!!

I think Taylor Hicks is now the clear favorite and the person who he competes against in the final will depend on next week. I think that spot is wide open.

Each singer will sing 3 songs. One chosen by the judges, one chosen by the contestant, and one chosen by Clive Davis. Next week is usually the best night of the season. Remember that Katharine has had a larger following than Elliott...Who will Chris' votes go to? Katharine will not be singing Elvis next week.

Katharine has the "DLMLWS" (Duke Lacrosse Men Love Women Singers or is it Srippers?)...Elliott has been performing well and certainly has a loyal following of his own...His phones were busy well past 10:45 P.M. and Katharine's were only busier a tad bit more than Chris'.

I really look forward to next week.

The chat rooms I have been monitoring since last night out of Atlanta are concentrating on singing ability, etc. etc....I think they are missing the boat.
Taylor has been the top vote getter almost every week and he is clearly not the best singer. This contest is down to popularity now with a minor in singing.

Taylor has a Wow factor with super charisma..."It"...the other two contestants don't have much of either, but they can certainly sing.

American Idol Week #9

PLEASE READ THE P.S. AT THE END OF THIS MESSAGE...After I finished writing my original post below, I spent a few hours perusing the chat rooms in Atlanta and reviewing the discussions that they had this evening concerning American Idol and the "Busy Signal" Dial Statistics.

I have never done this before and really enjoyed reading what occured this evening and the results of these efforts are summarized in my P.S...You will be astonished at the results of the Dial Idol busy signal predictions, if they prove to be correct.

__________________________________________________________________________________

The private jet departed for Graceland last Wednesday after Paris got the boot. Chris Daughtry and Taylor Hicks were seated in the catbird seat both before and after the trip.

If you missed tonight's show, or if you miss next weeks show...I don't think it will matter...Chris and Taylor should still be sitting in the same seats...almost assured to be facing each other on the final night.

My girlfriend, an Elvis expert, and young enough to have seen "the king" in concert when he visited Augusta's Bell Auditorium, insists that Taylor and Elliott missed the mark this evening and the judges did not have a clue about "Elvis". She thought Chris sung Elvis very well.

Of course, she admits no one heard a word Elvis sang that night because all of the girls were screaming uncontrollably...(and she wasn't one of them and really wanted to hear him).

{Also, James Brown...YES...That James Brown...had a shoe shine business a few doors down from Dot's business and he and his family lived across the street from her and they are good friends.} (Name dropper)

Back to Idol...Not much to report since the finals have been set for several weeks.

#1...Taylor Hicks sung two songs. He scared me a bit with "Jailhouse Rock"...reminding me of "Rock" the man I met on a "special bus" with the unique dental work (I shared my entire lunch with Mr. Rock...See Week #4 blog and Paris Bennett massacre of "Con Air" theme song "How Do I Live" by Trisha Yearwood)...He was on his way to Estill, SC and I was on my way to Atlanta, GA. He was a druggist and I was a taxman.

Randy enjoyed the song and Paula told Taylor that he "looked good" and did a "phenomenal job". Simon HATED IT! (that's a brief summary).

Taylor's second song was loved by all three judges and Simon summed it up when he told Taylor that he "Sung his way into the semi finals"...What the three stooges may not have figured out is that Taylor has been in the semifinals for 8 weeks! I know Simon doesn't have a clue. He has misjudged Taylor's popularity since the auditions.

#2...Chris Daughtry...Does it matter? Do you care? I know y'all do, but Chris is in the finals whatever he does. Dot told me that he sung Elvis well and he always sounds fine. He is probably going to win this thing.

There is a 40 week Idol tour coming up with the non winners...Idol may think that Taylor is a perfect headliner for that tour with Paris and Kellie and Mandisa, etc. etc. etc...

Idol needs to sell records right away and who will sell the most records the fastest?

Probably Chris...I think they'll "fix it" so Chris will win, but Chris will probably win anyway...

Chris will sell more records and Taylor will entertain more audiences...Idol is about singing and Simon Fuller and Simon Cowell make more money if they sell mucho records.

#3...Elliott Yamin...He sung two songs and Simon said the first song was the best of the evening so far and then he sung his second song and Randy and Paula said that it was Elliott's "best performance ever"...Simon said that he was finally showing his "personality" and he was "fighting" and he deserved "to go on to the next round." We all know that Simon is pretty much full of crap, especially this year and that the public has not been listening to him and the public rarely, if ever, listens to the Randy and Paula...but Katharine had to sing next???

My prediction last week was that Elliott had to have a fantastic week this week and Katharine had to have a not so good week for Elliott to stay and Katharine to leave.

#4...Katharine McPhee...She sung "Hound Dog" and to me...not Dot, my girlfriend, but to me...she sung the right song. Last night, the bassett hound next door howled all night. I was not in the mood for Katharine...fully clothed, to dance around and smile and hot diggetty dog...an Elvis song to me.

She had pants on so Paula liked it and Randy noted that she had a "good time." Simon said it reminded him of a "desperate manic audition"...He was not happy with it.

Her second song was a ballad.."I can't help falling in love". She oversung the song and the guy who dressed her should lose his needle and thread credentials. Where's the "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" when we need him?

Here we have a beautiful HOT BABE singing an Elvis Ballad and he dresses her in a puritan dress (puts her boobs under lock and key) and yet he shows us her belly and somehow accentuates her ankes and calves and big feet.

She's a beautiful young woman and he dresses her so ugly that we listen to her sing the song instead of looking at her...The last thing we want to look at is belly and calves...Hide the belly and show the boobs! She didn't need us to listen to her sing this evening.

Three of her last four songs were pretty terrible...I think my "spirits" let that hound howl all night to get me ready for "Hound Dog" this evening.

Simon, who hated her first song, told her that the second song "was not one of her best songs"...Simon likes Katharine a lot and was being kind.

I think Katharine was dealt a pretty bad hand tonight...

She had to sing Elvis songs and had to sing them against men with no women to compare her performance against.

Her song choices were not very good.

She sung badly for her.

Both of her outfits were not very flattering to her figure (which is very sensuous).

______________________________________________________________

Bottom 2:

Katharine and Elliott...

Katharine gone because I think the public will punish her for her poor performance. You've all been watching as long as me so Elliott is as much at risk as is Katharine, but the audience is more sophisticated than it has been and generally punishes bad performances.

Elliott genuinely received praise by the judges; however, the evening that Paris had her best night of the season, she was in the bottom 3...Katharine has consistently received more votes than Elliott...Therefore, she could be safe, but should not make the finals...Taylor and Chris are in the catbird seat.

All phone lines were busy for me when I tested them from 10:30 until 10:45 P.M.

I was unable to spend this evening with my trusted advisors Michele and Peggy and in general, they favor Katharine over Elliott, but Michele is a dentist and understandably Elliott's teeth are a turn off. THE END! (Please see P.S.)

____________________________________________________________________________________

P.S. BREAKING NEWS: After Midnight... The chat rooms in Atlanta were all in a panic. Their favorite, Chris Daughtry was dueling it out for last place according to DialIdol.com. I followed their messages from 8:50 P.M. until past midnight.

They love Elliott and even Katharine's fans had conceded her demise...and then lo and behold there were few busy signals for Chris Daughtry. Taylor was the leading vote getter according to busy signal probability.

Don't be surprised if Chris is voted off this evening and Katharine is barely safe...

Elliott and Taylor will be the top two vote getters..based on busy signals.

These statistics indicate that Chris may have barely lost...Of course, before the Idol Producers take over...and cheat!!!

Another element to discuss in "current events"...the law of probability of busy signals and what they mean...Dial Idol Rank...Taylor is now the big favorite based on busy signals. He may be the only one sitting in the catbird seat.

Good-Bye Paris Bennett...Week #8

Paris Bennett...A classy young lady!

She has the pedigree, polish, and potential to become a star. For this competition, she was just too young and was in a very strong field of talent.

I think I am going to miss her more than Kellie Pickler, who was becoming predictable and almost boring, but Paris' voting tallies were just not there and have not been there for a long time.

Elliott Yamin should be the next to go unless Katharine has a poor performance and Elliott has an outstanding one. Chris and Taylor are heading for a showdown with Chris' superior talent competing against Taylor's super wow charisma.

I think "performance" could still play a factor unless Idol producers "fix" the finale like they did when Clay Aiken really beat Ruben Studdard by 20% and they rerouted the votes for Clay to Naperville, Illinois (and did not count them) to "fix" Ruben's victory.....

{Because they feared that Clay Aiken was "gay"...which means absolutely nothing...and Idol finally figured this out...Now someone should tell the Baptist Church and many conservatives and homophobes in this country..."gay means absolutely nothing"...pssst...Let me tell you a secret...Don't tell anyone...(God doesn't care either!!!)...ooops...I guess the Southern Baptists might kick me out now. Aw Shucks! The good news is that I won't have to hide my beer any longer... YIPPEE!}

Back to Chris and Taylor and vote fixing:

Idol producers would only do this because they want Chris on their label instead of Taylor...because they think Chris will sell more records and they feel they need him to be declared the winner to make them more money. Chris will succeed whether he wins or not...We all know this. He was much better than Bo Bice, last years runner-up, the first or second week of the competition.

As I have declared in the past...I don't trust American Idol "vote counters"...or "homophobes."

American Idol Week #8

Good morning Colchester High School...( for members of this blog who are unaware of these young adults who live in the state of Vermont.)

This evenings American Idol was ho-hum and sort of boring...nothing earth shattering and not too spectacular. We are down to the final 5.

_____________________________________________________________________

#1...Elliott Yamin started off the evening with a song from his birth year (1978) "Broadway"...and finished with "Home" by Michael Buble. Simon was not too pleased with his performance on the first song and thought choosing the song title "Home" was not too wise for his second song and Paula did say that the second song showed the "richness of your voice". Randy said blah...blah...blah.

I really don't think that the audience is paying as much attention to Simon as in past years. I may be wrong about my picks, but I am pretty certain that I am correct that the judges roll in the competition is fading...They have been so wrong lately (Katharine last week for example)...and I think the audience is becoming wiser...or the voters are becoming wiser...for example...kicking Kellie off last week (she was popular, but sung so badly two weeks in a row that the audience was finally fed up) and the audience kicked off Mandisa early in the competition after a marginal performance one week and then a bad performance the next week.

(For those of you in Vermont...I think it was a racist move by the audience...I think the blacks left us last year because the country music singer and the rocker were in the finals (Carrie and Bo)...Early this season, Bucky should have never made it to the final 12...and because the blacks may have been disillusioned (aren't they always), a really deserving contestant was let go and Bucky stayed...(of course this is my redneck opinion)...(smile Jamie!)

#2...Paris Bennett for the year of her birth (1988) sung a "Prince" song and Randy said blah...blah...blah and Paula liked it and Simon said "screechy and annoying". The song was not screechy and annoying and Simon doesn't have a clue. If Paris doesn't sing a Billie Holiday song, and if she dances, then the song stinks as far as Simon is concerned. Again, he is clueless.

Her second song was a Mary J. Blige song...Of course, I don't listen to Mary J. Blige, but the people who I watch American Idol with do, and they said Paris sung very well. Randy Jackson liked it and Paula said blah...blah...blah. Paula is very consistent...If the singer has pants on, she loves them. Simon disagreed with Paula and actually liked Paris this time and said that she sung the song very well.

I really don't think this will help Paris at all. America has had Fantasia. I really, really like Paris Bennett...but I hate her music...hate it...hate it...hate it...I hope she goes. Her phone line has been busy...we'll see.

I don't think she's winning American Idol.

I don't think Elliott is winning this thing either. I like them both...I like Paris better than Elliott, but I like Elliott's songs better than the crap that Paris sings. Paris' smile and attitude are contagious.

#3...Chris Daughtry...Chris sung one song and screamed through another. Everyone still says he is the favorite. He is certainly likeable and probably is going to win this thing. After his first song, Simon said he was "a million times better than the first two." Randy said "we have a real hot one tonight" and Paula said "outstanding". After his second song, the judges agreed that he was straining his voice, except Paula...she said "I love you". Chris had pants on.

#4...Katharine McPhee...Her birth year (1984) song was not sung well at all. She knew it and the judges all noticed it. Her second song was much, much better. Simon said he much preferred it and Randy said it showed her personality and Paula said blah...blah...blah. As much as I like Katharine, she just doesn't WOW like she should with her looks, personality and professionally trained voice. She has the ability to win this thing, but won't take it. Week after week, she sits back and doesn't grab it. Carrie had some great performances and improved and took it...Katharine has not done it. I thought she would be in the final 2...I have now taken that opinion back...She has the ability to be back in the final 2...but now I think Taylor has taken it.

5...Taylor Hicks...He sung "Play that funky music White Boy"...I know he sung that for me and for all you people in Vermont. Did you see him wink for Senator Leahy?

Randy Jackson said "Wow!"...Paula said "Authentic Taylor" and Simon, who as I said earlier "doesn't have a clue any longer"..."Horrible Wedding Performance"...I think the audience loved it and I think that the voters will love the performance too. Taylor danced and fell as if dying at the end...smiling and enjoying himself the entire time. His telephone line was busy all evening. Again, Simon just doesn't get it. I feel that Taylor may be the top vote getter this evening. His second number was by the Beattles "Something" and even Simon said that Taylor was a "good singer" and Paula said that he sung a very hard song choice "tenderly".

___________________________________________________________________

Now for the predictions....Only 5 choices...Of course...don't bank on my selections. The worst performance tonight was Katharine song 1. Elliott, who I picked to be in the bottom 2, sung pretty well on both songs. Paris' second song was very good. Who knows?

Bottom 2: Elliott and Paris (Katharine could have been here) Chris and Taylor safe.

Paris going home because she seems to have always been in the bottom 3 and then she made the bottom 2...This means she is not getting the votes. She still wins because she is getting a record contract and she can certainly sing and she will gain experience while on tour. She sings Mary Blige as well as Mary Blige.

Elliott was in the bottom 3 several times and then Ace and Paris and Kellie jumped in to keep him out. I hate to see him go because he is so nice and likeable, but so is everyone else. I think he is gone next week, but then again, he could go tonight even after his good performance.

I think he sung better than Katharine this evening and Katharine could take his place, but Paris should be the one leaving not because she sung badly, because she hasn't shown she has the votes.

If Katharine has a night next week like tonight...then she will be leaving very soon.

My final 3 at this time is Chris, Taylor and Katharine...Your guess is as good as mine.

I find it hard to believe that a rocker will win...but only Taylor has the popularity to beat him, but Chris has significantly more ability and just as much "IT"...maybe not as much raw charisma.
